SMS UK team successfully completed the sand injection calibration job for the acoustic sand detectors. A total of nineteen sand injections were carried out by SMS Project Lead Amir Bayat during the visit. Eleven sensors that were installed on our client's flowline and export line at the UK Continental Shelf platform were calibrated using various choke sizes.

Our calibration experts will ensure your data and measurements are accurate and precise.The injections are carried out at various flow rates, and the repeatability of each flow rate is tested by injecting pre-weighed desired sand.

This calibration option is a great maintenance solution to complement the standard sand detector calibration and further verify the amount of sand being produced from the wells remotely and in real time. Speak to us for more information about this service.
