SMS has been present in Malaysia since 2012 conducting Acoustic Sand Monitoring for PCSB and many other clients but our first permanent installation came in 2020 for this field. Two years later we returned to the same field to install an additional six permanent acoustic sand monitoring sensors for a Facilities Improvement Project (FIP) in their newest platform. It was successfully completed last week. All sensors were set up to communicate with the platform Distributed Control System so that the client could access real-time sand production data from the Control Room and remotely.

As depicted below, the commissioning handover certificate was done to the system owner. Well done to Don Robin and Hairul Azmar our senior field engineers for completing this scope of work under a very tight client timeline.
